Principal’s Message
 Dear Friends:
As principal, it is my pleasure to introduce you to an extraordinary community, infused with the joy of learning and deep commitment to Jewish tradition and continuity. Our school is known not only for our academic excellence but also for our focus on values education, graduating students with the strength of character to become future leaders in our Jewish, local and global communities.
Defined by our ability to appreciate and educate students, both as unique individuals and as a cohesive chevre, the Lower School faculty and staff, in partnership with our vibrant Parents' Association, have created a warm and nuturing kehila, so that each student can rise to his/her own potential and achieve personal excellence. We strive to create a makom kadosh, a holy place, for Jewish and secular learning, where our diverse student population is enriched by our culture of inclusion, appreciation and respect.
Current technology and ancient tradition merge daily at our “intellectual crossroads” as week by week, our students mature into independent thinkers who can cull from both Judaic and general studies curricula, knowledge and direction needed to make sound decisions and to take thoughtful action.
Each day at our school is filled with wonder and the opportunity to learn and grow.

Gloria Kron
Gloria Kron joined SSDSEU in 1979 as a Lower School general studies teacher. She was the General Studies Curriculum Coordinator from 2000 to 2001, planning and overseeing the implementation of changes to the language arts, math, science, and social studies curricula. Mrs. Kron became Assistant Principal in 2001 and Principal in 2004.
